If you don't already buy your makeup at Nordstrom, here are a couple of reasons you should. First, fast, free shipping with no minimum! (No need to spend time hunting down a parking place at the mall.) Second, you get free samples with your purchase (you'll be prompted to choose which ones at checkout.)

Nordstrom has lots of amazing beauty and fragrance brands, and these make wonderful gifts. Don't forget about Mother's Day coming up! (I know my mom would definitely appreciate some Nordstrom goodies.) And you don't have to worry about getting the size wrong.

Here are some of my favorite beauty picks (Click on any of the pink names below to get to the product.)

Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes - long lasting, beautiful colors in a huge variety of shades. A nice mix of metallic and matte tones. The one shown is the "Heat" palette but there are many others too. Great for creating that smokey-eye look!

Bobbi Brown Lipstick - Soft, smooth, long-lasting and non-drying.

Too Faced Bronzer - Not only does this stuff go on evenly and look great... it smells delicious. Like vanilla I think? Yummy. I wasn't expecting it to have a scent so that was a nice surprise.

Mac Studio Fix powder - This can be used instead of foundation, because boy does it cover up imperfections like nothing else I've ever tried!!! I don't need much at all, just a light sweep. If you have shine at all, you can use a little Mac blot powder over the top.

Oribe Shampoo (and conditioner, not shown) - The one pictured is for blondes and it adds volume to my hair and seems to make the color really pop. It smells INCREDIBLE and it looks a little different... (pic below). The conditioner is purple too and nice and light so it doesn't weigh my hair down. Since this stuff is pricey I save it for my "must have good hair" days.

Clinique Lash Building Primer - Goes on before mascara to make your lashes longer and thicker. Works REALLY well. You do want to have a metal lash comb with this and/or any mascara.

Mac Lip Liner - My favorites are 'Whirl' and 'Half Red.' Stays on nicely and doesn't bleed.

Lancome Definicils Mascara - This is the best mascara I have ever found, and I've tried many. You don't even need the primer above if you use this stuff (although you can get extra oomph that way). This stuff also seems to last a lot longer than other brands, as long as you screw the cap on tight.

Oribe Dry Shampoo - Stands apart from alllll the other dry shampoos I've tried because it smells absolutely divine, (most dry shampoo is stinky!) Works nicely to make hair look fresh and clean, and doesn't leave any weird residue. I use the blonde 'Gold Lust' type, which seems to make my roots less noticeable too. A less expensive option which seems to be the leading favorite in the Sample Sale Mom facebook group is Living Proof.

Philosophy Lip Glosses - Last but not least, the best (BEST!) lip glosses ever from Philosophy. They smell and taste amazing, last a long time and look great! Shine with a subtle hint of color. For SURE try the Philosophy shower gels too - I use them on my kids for shampoo (and some here come with a lip gloss as a bundle! Really cute gift!)
