Since it's a new year, I finally went through all my drawers and donated anything I didn't love. (For any casual clothing, if you haven't worn it in the past year, let's face it, you're probably never going to.) Then I ordered some new pieces from Nordstrom. Not everything worked for me, but their free shipping and returns make it really easy to try out different styles without leaving your house!
This poncho is thick and warm enough for the New England weather - runs a little big. I'm wearing the XS/S here. (This photo was taken outside so I could get the natural light... and it was 20 degrees. Yes I was cold, but at least the parts of me that were under the poncho were not cold!) Shown here with my favorite jeans, the Legging by AG. Earrings are Kate Spade and boots are from BP. (BP makes lots of styles great, affordable leather boots!!)
This thermal from Free People is SO cute and comes in a bunch of nice colors (love the pale aqua!) I'd say go one size down from what you normally wear – it runs BIG – unless you're tall and want the extra length. I'm 5'8" and wearing a S here - it's hard to see the length since it's tucked up in the front, but I can wear it with leggings too, and it's plenty long in the sleeves. AG the Legging jeans here too, and Frye boots.
